POWER PAK: A Refrigeration unit which is designed to chill glycol to a specified temperature. Inside the power pak is a pump which circulates the chilled glycol through the beer lines. Regulators This device controls the amount of pressure in the beer lines. The Primary Regulator (or High Pressure regulator) controls the pressure from the CO2 tank. The Secondary Regulators (or Low Pressure Regulators) controls the amount of pressure in each beer line. Generally, there is one Secondary regulator for each keg...each beer product.) Refrigerated Beer Line This is a the group of beer lines which run from the walk-in cooler to the delivery point, the tower. The beer lines are in contact with the two glycol lines which run through the center of the bundle, and then is wrapped with mylar, and then finally covered with a foam insulated sleeve. The entire bundle is known as a Beer Line Bundle, Trunk Housing, or Refrigerated Beer Line. It is generally installed in the ABS Plastic Chase installed in the floor, but can also be installed in walls and ceilings. Draft Arms A colloquial term, generally referring to any tower or font which has a dispensing faucet. Draft arms can have up to three different faucets, and usually the term refers more to the appearance of the draft arm than a specific function. T-Towers Another colloquial phrase referring to the type of beer towers which have a pedestal, and a box at the top containing the faucets. Gives the appearance of a "T" shape, hence the name. Usually have from 3-12 faucets, but can be designed in any length for special applications. Chill-Pak Our patented product. This is a specially designed cold plate which mounts in the walk-in cooler. The glycol lines and beer lines are molded into the plate, forming a heat transfer device. The glycol chills the cold plate, and the cold plate pulls residual heat from the beer lines. Thus the beer exits the cold plate at a temperature consistent with the temperature of the cold plate itself. |
